Candace Marie Photography
Hello there, I’m Candace Armstrong.
I’ve been photographing weddings, families, and real-life love stories since 2003. Over the years, my work has naturally grown into what it is today — a mix of newborn, family, and milestone photography rooted in real moments.
I’m based in Dallas, Georgia, and serve families throughout the Atlanta area. Most of what I do now centers around newborns and early family life, but at the heart of it, I’m just documenting what matters as it’s happening.
Photography is more than a creative outlet. It is a way to document the milestones that shape our lives.
Candace approaches each session with a visual storytelling mindset that blends lifestyle photography, photojournalism, and artistic portraiture. Instead of relying on stiff posing or elaborate props, the focus remains on real interaction and meaningful moments.
The goal is to capture the small details that often go unnoticed in everyday life. A parent gently holding their newborn, a couple sharing a quiet moment during their wedding day, or the proud smile of a graduating senior are the moments that tell the most powerful stories.
By combining natural lighting, thoughtful composition, and timeless editing, Candace creates images that feel authentic and emotionally rich.
These photographs are designed to last beyond trends, providing families with meaningful artwork they can cherish for generations.
The early days of a child’s life are filled with emotion, wonder, and rapid change. Newborn photography allows families to preserve those fleeting moments that often pass in a blur of sleepless nights and joyful discovery.
Candace Marie Photography specializes in capturing newborn sessions that feel soft, natural, and intimate. Rather than heavily styled setups, sessions focus on the real connection between parents and baby.
Popular newborn photography options include First 48 hospital sessions and in-home lifestyle newborn photography.
First 48 sessions document the emotional first hours after a baby’s birth, capturing the raw and beautiful moments families experience during those early days.
In-home newborn sessions provide a relaxed and comfortable environment where families can interact naturally with their new baby. These sessions highlight genuine connection and the beauty of everyday life.
The result is a collection of photographs that feel personal, emotional, and timeless.
My style is simple and relaxed.
I don’t use a lot of props or complicated setups. Most sessions are built around natural light and letting things unfold without forcing anything.
I’ll guide you when you need it, but I’m not going to over-direct or make you feel like you have to perform. The goal is for your photos to feel like your real life, just captured with a little more intention.
Whether it’s a newborn session at home, a family shoot, or a couple’s session, I focus on connection first.
Photography, for me, has always been about more than just images.
It’s about holding onto moments that don’t last as long as we think they will.
That’s a big part of why I focus so much on newborn and milestone sessions now. Those early days are a blur for most families. Everything is new, emotional, and constantly changing.
Slowing that down, even just for a little while, matters.
Whether it’s your wedding day, a growing family, or a moment you never want to forget, my goal is always the same, to create photos that feel true to you and that you’ll still love years from now.
I keep things simple.
You can reach out however you’re most comfortable, whether that’s email or text. Once you’re booked, I’ll help you plan the details like location, timing, and what to wear.
During the session, there’s no pressure. You don’t need to know what to do. I’ll guide you when needed, but most of the time you’ll just be interacting naturally while I document it.
Afterward, your images are carefully edited to keep everything looking natural and timeless. You’ll receive them in a private online gallery where you can download your photos and order prints.
A lot of my clients come back more than once, and that means a lot to me.
I get to photograph weddings, then families, then newborns, and everything in between. Being able to follow those stories over time is one of the best parts of what I do.
If you’re looking for a photographer who’ll be there not just for one moment, but for all the ones that come after, I’d love to be that person for you.
If you’re thinking about booking a session or just want to reach out, I’m always happy to talk things through.
